Sleepless in bed, I'm
not alone- full moon waning
enchants the night world.

End of April brings
more rain- foggy showers for
May’s lovely flowers.

The day at last done,
I can fall into bed- sleep
what I truly need.

Relax a minute,
I just can't keep up with you-
though your feet are small.

Red anthurium,
passionate to the end- out
with old, in with new.

Clematis cascades,
sweet almond scent drifting- my
mind wanders away.

one last show for weary eyes-
I slip into sleep.

At sunset- the skies
opened just a little to
let the light shine down.

Thursday sunset, the
weekend looked clear- Friday has
other plans for us.

why not enjoy a short snooze-

small welcome visitor waits-
spring arrives on wings.

abound, infinity skies-

Bright eyed and bushy
tailed squirrels may be mornings-
doesn't describe me.

noon, and night- your soft fur, love,
rainy day cuddles.

Rocky cradles can
produce tender beauties- spring’s
canvas all around.

April 11, 2018

Strolling through garden,
Rhododendrons heavy with
blooms- spring paradise.

April 10, 2018

Rhododendrons burn,
flames to light the deepest green
dell- it must be spring.

April 9, 2018

Spring blooms beckon us
towards summer’s heat- before
we drift off to fall.

Narcissus, focus
on centre, marvel- nature
is the true artist.

April 7, 2018

Spring showers, flowers
glisten, birds chirp, we listen-
relish more light hours.

April 6, 2018

Greys on greens, west coast
spring day- we can gloat about
flowers, but not sun.

Cacti seem to say,
humans, stay far, far away-
we don’t take the hint.

April 4, 2018

Squirrels frolic, buds
burst, birds nest, rain pours, some snore-
spring is full of zing.

April 3, 2018

While you eat, there may
be someone watching you- and
someone watching them.

April 2, 2018

Frilly skirts ready
to dance in gentle spring breeze-
hellebores blossom.
